Insulated Glass: Capabilities
Unit Type
Craftsman is capable of manufacturing both double
and triple units in various combinations of spacer width and glass thickness.
We will be pleased to assist you in glass and spacer selection to obtain
the desired Unit OD.
Spacer Bar
The standard spacer bar utilized is ½” wide for the manufacture
of 1” OD (outside dimension) commercial units. Additional widths
of spacers range from ¼” wide through ¾” wide.
This range of spacer widths along with varying glass thicknesses allows
us to offer a full range of unit OD’s manufactured to exacting tolerances.
This range of widths is available in both our standard aluminum spacer
as well as the optional “warm edge” stainless steel spacer.
All Craftsman spacers are “low profile” to maximize vision
area and minimize thermal transfer.
With the automated glass cutting equipment and spacer bending machines
we utilize in fabrication, an impressive range of shaped units are
possible. The most common shapes include:

Sealant
All Craftsman units are “dual seal” as
discussed in the Overview area of this website. Secondary seals offered
are polysulfide (standard) and silicone.
Glass Thickness
Our fully automated insulated line is capable of fabricating units with
glass thicknesses ranging from 1/8” to ½”. Glass thickness
may be dictated by unit size, technical and/or building code requirements.

Glass Types
Craftsman Insulated units may be manufactured with
the full range of glass types including annealed, tempered, laminated,
wired, and high performance coated glass. Please see the Glass
Choices/Performance section of the website.

Unit Size
Our fully automated line manufactures units up to 95” x 135”.
Crating
All units can be packaged in protective wooden crates for shipment to
jobsites outside our local delivery area at a small additional charge.
Rack Delivery
Specially designed steel racks may be utilized for jobsite delivery within
our local delivery area, These racks offer excellent protection of
the units, ease of movement around the jobsite, and eliminate the cost
of expensive disposal of the traditional wood crating.
Warranty
All Craftsman Insulated Units are warranted against
defects in material, workmanship and seal failure for a period of 5 years.
On request, a 10 year warranty may be obtained on a project basis. Further
